Five women transformed forever in Portland Rescue Mission

Celebration. Excitement. Anticipation. Transformation. These are all words and feelings that came emanating out of the Jubilee celebration at Shepherd’s Door. Five women had not only finished the 12-month New Life Ministry program, they were radically changed as a result.

In front of a room overflowing with family and friends, these five women were able to declare themselves, once and for all, hopeful, restored and filled with possibilities for the future. It was a rousing scene, and one that left everyone inspired.

Give a Happy Birthday to a hurting person!

Many homeless men and women of Portland, Oregon watch their birthday come and go uncelebrated. But thanks to the generosity of Fred Meyer and Air1 Radio and your thoughtfulness, homeless guests of Portland Rescue Mission will know they’re not forgotten this year.

On Thursday, March 8, PRM throws a birthday party complete with gifts, cake, cards and colorful decorations. You can be a part of Annual Birthday Party for the Homeless when you send a birthday card with an encouraging note to let a hurting person know you care!
